I’m excited to launch the official blog for JakeyTTS! This blog will be my main channel for sharing product updates, insights, plugin development guides, and new feature highlights.

What is JakeyTTS?

For those who don’t know, JakeyTTS is a free, open-source, and lightweight Text-to-Speech client designed for streamers and creators. It is built to run smoothly in the background while integrating directly with Twitch chat, allowing your viewers to trigger customized TTS messages.

Here are some of the key features of JakeyTTS:

• Twitch Integration: Seamlessly connect to Twitch.
• Voice Mixing: Customize voice presets with speed, pitch, and effects.
• SFX & Melodies: Trigger audio cues on command and create custom melodies (like Tomodachi Life).
• Extensible Plugins: Write custom plugins to extend the client functionality.

Why I Built JakeyTTS?

I decided to start this project for my friend Jakey, He’s a small streamer and I wanted to make something that could help him out. He relied on web based tts, that didnt allow him to change voices or sounds. That’s also the reason why the project is called JakeyTTS, a reminder of my great friend.

Why a Blog?

As I’ll be releasing new updates, I’ll use this blog to share our journey, go deep into technical details, share community plugin showcases, and provide tutorials.
